- Sight words stick with repeat. Cards, games, bingo and an assessment help you see which words are secure.
The problem
'With', 'ride', 'there': the next step in sight words
Primer sight words are longer and trickier than pre-primer. Many are look-alikes, and some break phonics rules.
Look-alikes
'Was' and 'saw', 'there' and 'where', 'this' and 'that'. Children read the first letter and guess.
Irregular spellings
'Was' and 'what' don't sound as they spell. Children who sound them out get the wrong word.
Silent e
Words like 'ride' follow silent e, but others like 'have' don't. Children need to know both.
Each page shows one primer word, so children see it often. Real repeats help the word stick, so it reads at a glance.
What’s inside

Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.

Questions
Before you buy.
What's in the primer list?
Common words like 'with', 'ride' and 'there'. They're a step up from pre-primer.
Do I need to finish pre-primer first?
It helps, since primer builds on it. Children who know the first set read these faster.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
What if it isn’t right for us?
